Marc Cullison
Marc Cullison, now residing in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is a proud baby-boomer who grew up in an era where education and duty to country were paramount. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Marc earned a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering before commissioning as a second lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve Corps of Engineers through the ROTC program.
During his four-year military career, Marc served as a helicopter pilot with the 129th Assault Helicopter Company in II Corps, Vietnam, in 1971. His experiences in Vietnam have become the foundation for his acclaimed military autobiographies, which have made Amazon’s Best Sellers list for Military Nonfiction about the Vietnam War and are now available as audiobooks. These works offer an unflinching look at the harrowing realities of war and the enduring impact it has on those who serve.
After Vietnam, Marc returned to the U.S., where he met his wife while serving as a military assistant to the resident engineer at Kaw Dam and Reservoir near Ponca City, Oklahoma. Following his honorable discharge, he earned a master’s degree in architectural engineering at Oklahoma State and worked as a professional structural engineer. His career path also led him into quality control, computer programming, and eventually teaching math and science at Connors State College, where he retired in 2014.
Marc’s latest book, Second Chances, is a gripping exploration of family dynamics, relationships, and misunderstandings. At its core is a Vietnam veteran grappling with the psychological scars of war, navigating decades of challenges and the after-effects of his service. It’s a story of redemption, healing, and the enduring bonds of family.
